Each of our Founders have dedicated significant time, energy, and resources to various charitable causes. And in all of their journeys, they found a common theme: many athletes want to give back but don’t know where to begin. Our Founders saw that the sports community is competitive by nature, which had led to a fragmented

approach to philanthropy And so, our Founders decided to break the mold. By reaching out to professional, amateur, and youth athletes alike, Athletes for Hope was designed to bring all types of athletes together to educate and inspire them to channel their energy for a common goal: to make a difference in the world

Launched in 2024, the AFH Athlete Leadership Council is spearheaded by esteemed athletes Stephen Curry, Katie Ledecky, and Nathan Chen. Each are committed to continuing the legacy of BWOL and inspiring the next generation of sports leaders through their commitment to making the world a better place

Patrick Robinson

Stephen Curry’s on and off court legacy is underscored by transformation and innovation. His 14-year career in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors is marked by many firsts. He was the first person to be named Most Valuable Player by unanimous vote in NBA history, the first player to hit 100 3-pointers in the NBA Finals, one of a select few to win MVP awards two years in a row, remains the all-time leading scorer in Golden State Warriors history and holds the record for most 3-pointers made in NBA history.

Katie Ledecky

Katie Ledecky

Katie Ledecky, a ten-time Olympic gold medalist in swimming, is recognized as one of the most dominant athletes of all time. Often called the ‘First Lady of Freestyle’, she has broken 16 World Records and 37 American Records in her career. Out of the pool, Ledecky is an advocate for education, gender equality, and the empowerment of young athletes. In 2022, she received Athletes for Hope’s Community Hero Award.

Executive Director, McNeese Athletic Foundation

Clerc is a Louisiana native. In her current role, she manages a portfolio of fundraising partners and corporate sponsors. She focuses on crafting and implementing strategies to advance community cultivation and university engagement through the lens of athletics. While at Lamar University, Clerc won 13 conference titles and earned 2 NCAA championship births.  As a former collegiate runner, she is passionate about helping athletes realize the platform each person has to give back and to act on that opportunity to make a positive impact.
